Engineering Update

A recent project initiated by Quality and Operations identified waste in station C1 160-1. The process identified walking, waiting, as well as, ergonomic issues to complete the rear U-bolt attachment.

Although process changes helped to resolve some of the issues, a tooling upgrade was identified to eliminate the remaining waste.

Concurrently, MY08 requirements were achieved. Consequently, Maurice Collier is very pleased with the new tooling. The cross-functional team deserves to be recognized for leading the effort to identify the waste and encouraging the Engineering team to develop a resolution.
