DCP Selects Monica I. Wallace, Quality Manager

Detroit Chassis announced the selection of Monica I. Wallace, to the position of Quality Manager, effective Monday January 25, 2010. She will report to Patricia Carson, Senior Manager Operations and will be responsible for leading our team to ”ZERO DEFECTS” through implementing a robust Quality Operating System.
Monica comes to Detroit Chassis with 17 years global experience in the automotive and manufacturing-related industries including all aspects of Quality Assurance, Global Supplier Quality, Program Management, Product Development and Launch and Operations.
She earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Michigan State University.
Monica is a results oriented visionary leader with global experience in Program Management/Project Management, Advance Quality Planning, Strategic Planning, and Operations. She has a demonstrated record of accomplishments in cost reductions, improved product quality, and product development.
Some of Monica’s accomplishments with major automotive manufacturers included:
Managing the supplier and supply chain cross-functional project teams, on new and existing products, to review and verify supplier process capability in alignment with product design requirements and application intent.
Implementing and maintaining strategic supplier partnerships that provided the organization with competitive advantages in lowest total cost and highest quality products.
Implementing Supplier Manufacturing Operations (SMO) goals, with focus on cost improvement through defect reduction and productivity improvement.
Monica’s personal statement is ‘live an authentic life’ and her hobbies include traveling, outdoor sports and interior decorating. One of her personal goals is to train for a marathon run in 2011. She has a lovely 13 year old daughter in 8th grade.
