2/9/2007
WE ARE COMMITTED TO EMBRACING CHANGE BY LEARNING AND GROWTH
DETROIT, MI β Detroit Chassis LLC, an automotive manufacturing company of niche vehicles and RV chassis announced that its associates have worked 412 days without incurring any recordable injuries. Detroit Chassis is a UAW plant with membership at Local 155 and achieved this objective of zero injuries with significant UAW participation.
βThe progress we have made is phenomenal. A couple of years ago we were averaging 3-4 injuries per month. The most important thing that we can do is to work safely and we did this with 100% participation of our associates. We took a situation that was not optimal and converted it to world champion performance. We can do this in other aspects of this business and of our lives as well. Management raised the flag but our associates took the lead in making this outstanding performance possible,β said Carlton Guthrie, Company Co-Chairman.
Company leaders planned a celebration at its Lynch Rd. headquarters Thursday, February 8, 2007 at 11:30 AM and commended associates for a job well done.
Customers, community stakeholders and members of the media were invited to attend.
