WE ARE COMMITTED TO EXCELLENCE BY ADDING VALUE
DETROIT, MI – Detroit Chassis LLC, an automotive manufacturing company of niche vehicles and RV chassis is proud to announce that they have shown what “World Champion” really means by achieving first place on Ford Motor Company’s (FMC’s) Inventory Rating list out of 18 Ford North American assembly plants.
FMC utilizes CMMS metrics to measure how well (or poorly) a plant has control over their in-house and inbound inventory.
DCP has shown that they know how to maintain a world champion Materials Department by achieving first place!
In early 2005, Chuck Clifton and the Materials Team sat down to discuss and develop strategies for improving DCP’s rating.
The team understood that this would mean that DCP would have to demonstrate its ability in ten critical areas monitored by FMC. The objective was to obtain first place inventory ranking by the end of the calendar year. DCP set out to prove that they could achieve their goal and provide evidence that their performance could be better than all North American Ford Assembly Plants.
Jeff Minto, Materials Team Leader, reported in November 2005 that the team had successfully achieved the objective!
The team was aware that they would have to be diligent and focused if they were to achieve this again.
Chuck Watts, Materials Receiving Associate, was pleased to announce that DCP and the Materials Team has again achieved the first place ranking on Ford’s Inventory Rating list posted in July 2006.
We celebrate these kinds of successes because they indicate that we are world champions and we know how to sustain world champion performance!
