ISO9001:2000 Update
5/19/2006
WE ARE COMMITTED TO EMBRACING CHANGE BY LEARNING AND GROWTH
DETROIT, MI – Detroit Chassis LLC, an automotive manufacturing company of niche vehicles and RV chassis, announced today that it successfully passed its most recent ISO9001 audit conducted Tuesday of this week. DCP’s Quality Management System has been certified for more than five years and we have consistently improved our system each year with the help of Jasmin Smith-Young, Quality Management Systems Coordinator. Jasmin has been with the organization for six years and was a key player in the first QS9000 certification in October 2001. She assisted in leading our organization through the transition from QS9000 to ISO9001.
We successfully achieved ISO9001: 2000 certification in May of 2005.
Last November Jasmin was a key player in leading the organization through its first ever surveillance audit that resulted in zero findings. DCP recently encountered its second ISO9001 surveillance audit May 16, 2006, and we passed with only two minor non-conformances.
Detroit Chassis has been highly accredited by NSF-ISR Registrars as being a company that is going above and beyond the International Standard. The organization has been commended for having very comprehensive processes, procedures, and innovative techniques.
The NSF-ISR Auditor, Jim Wuolukka, has stated, “DCP is very customer focused and data and root cause driven.”
Jim commended the organization for continuous efforts to help solve design and body builder related issues while many organizations would not put forth such efforts. During the six hours that Jim was in the facility, he noticed:
· Friendly associates
· Cleanliness of the facility
· Team-based problem solving
