WE ARE COMMITTED TO RESPECT THROUGH DIVERSITY AND COMMUNITY

DETROIT, MI – Detroit Chassis LLC, an automotive manufacturing company of niche vehicles and RV chassis, announced today that its Information Technology Department has launched an internship program.

Getting your first job in the career field you want to work in can be a daunting task. It is becoming more and more difficult for young professionals to take that first step. Detroit Chassis has made strides to make that first step possible for one new employee. Marquitta Ridges is the latest addition to the DCP family as an Information Technology Intern. Marquitta will be serving her internship over the next 10 weeks as a means of earning credit towards her graduation from Baker College.

During the course of Marquitta’s internship she will be given the exposure to several information technology job responsibilities including client support, computer setup, and exposure to database modeling. Along with the technology experience Marquitta will learn first hand how Detroit Chassis conducts business in a Lean Manufacturing environment. The knowledge gained during the course of the internship will serve as a springboard to the future career success we know Marquitta will achieve. The experience has already lead to positive thoughts on her careers future. When asked about the experience thus far, Marquitta was quoted as saying, “I enjoy learning about how everything works in business and executing what I have learned in class along with things I have not.”

All DCP associates are encouraged to take a moment to welcome Marquitta to the Detroit Chassis family and feel free to share your insights and personal experiences in business to further enhance this career building experience.
