A new approach to health care for small-to-medium sized businesses
WHAT: The Wayne Health Mobile Unit and Detroit Chassis, a Detroit-based automotive supplier, are partnering in a preventive health care event for Detroit Chassis employees and their families.
Ford Motor Company was instrumental in the two Detroit-based organizations coming together, having worked with Wayne Health and other program partners throughout the pandemic to mobilize health initiatives. Detroit Chassis is a Ford supplier, and Ford is a collaborator in Wayne Health’s mobile health program, providing the custom-fit Transit vehicles used to deliver mobile health services throughout the community.
Detroit Chassis employees will receive the following free health services:
- blood testing for diabetes, cholesterol and kidney function
- blood pressure screening
- COVID-19 testing and vaccines
- school immunizations and sports physicals
- child wellness exams
- HIV screening
- behavioral health and patient education resources
- primary care physician referrals
WHEN: Tuesday, August 24, 2021, 1 – 5 p.m.
WHERE: Detroit Chassis, 6501 Lynch Rd., Detroit
WHY: This event is the kick-off of a new, ongoing partnership between Wayne Health and Detroit Chassis to offer easy access to quality, on-site, mobile health care for Detroit Chassis associates. It’s an innovative way to provide “care your way, where you work” for employees of small-to-medium sized businesses, to improve employee and community health outcomes.
