Environmental Health and Safety Policy

Detroit Chassis Environmental, Health & Safety Policy

Detroit Chassis is committed to reaching the highest health, safety, and environmental practices. We are concerned for our employees, their families, and the community where we conduct our business, making this our priority.

Detroit Chassis is committed to the prevention of occupational illness and injuries. We will ensure that all legislated and other requirements and responsibilities are met or exceeded and that all parties implement the health and safety program with full cooperation. Detroit Chassis is accountable for implementing this policy and will hold all parties accountable for fulfilling their responsibilities.

In addition, Detroit Chassis will likewise conduct its business regarding the environment, comply with all applicable regulatory and other legal requirements (such as customer, lease, insurance, and Corporate requirements), and continually improve our environmental management program. As a result, we will reduce our consumption of natural resources and waste generation when feasible.

Past and present business activities impacting health, safety, and environmental matters will be evaluated regularly. A systematic review program will be implemented and monitored for each of its operations to improve health, safety, and environmental issues. Reports on these matters will be presented to Detroit Chassis’ top management leadership team, at minimum, annually.

Based on these values, we can be measured by:

  • C – Continual Improvement of our EMS to enhance environmental performance
  • P – Protection of the environment, including pollution prevention
  • R – Regulatory Compliance (Fulfillment of DC compliance obligations)
  • To improve the efficient use of natural resources such as energy and water.
  • To minimize waste streams and emissions.
  • Recycling programs will also be implemented in its manufacturing operations.
