David Taylor is VP Engineering and Program Management supporting Detroit Chassis and Detroit Chassis Avon. He came to Detroit Chassis after retiring from an OEM with 30 years of experience in chassis design, development, program management, and manufacturing.
David Taylor started his career as an engineering co-op student at Ford’s Rouge complex and has held various design and manufacturing leadership positions within the Commercial Vehicles Department. He was assigned to Detroit Chassis as the Vehicle Team Manager in 2000, and he went on to lead and launch many of the stripped chassis programs. David also led the design team that launched the all-new F59 commercial stripped chassis in 2010. He has an extensive background in chassis design, manufacturing, and assembly.
David Taylor has a Bachelors and Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan.
