Covid-19 Update
The COVID-19 pandemic continues to cause immediate and long-term disruptions to our way of living. Life will not be the same. However, things will be better because we will take lessons learned and implement new strategies that enable us to work SMARTER and SAFER as we adjust to a new normal.
We lost a valued team member last week. Reggie White will remain in our thoughts as we prepare for every VQR and BSC meeting. Remember to keep Rose and their family in your prayers.
Currently, we have 5 confirmed coronavirus cases at Detroit Chassis affecting the following areas: C2, Quality Department, Vision Center, Rolls Test, Sub assembly, and the administrative offices. We will continue to monitor associates’ condition and provide support.
The entire facility has been thoroughly and repeatedly cleaned and sanitized, in preparation for our return to work. We must all exercise extreme caution to protect ourselves and each other:
• Maintain safe Social Distancing,
• Wear a mask and gloves when recommended
• Wash our hands and
• Sanitize frequently
These are all things that will dramatically lower risks.
Work Schedule
We expect Monday, May 4, 2020 to be our first day back for full production at DCP and DCA. This date is still fluid but do not worry, we will update you if there are any changes.
Everyone who enters the facility is required to have their temperature monitored, wear the required PPE (Gloves & Mask)
Project Updates
The team has done an amazing job by completing 80% of the rework and retrofit units, so far!! The team deserves great credit for setting an example of how to effectively work SAFELY while being extremely productive! Great customer service being delivered by great people!!!

Detroit Chassis Mourns the Loss of Reggie White
Detroit Chassis suffered a great loss today as we learned of the passing of Reggie White, Warranty Analyst. Reggie served in a leadership capacity for the daily Ford F5X Warranty Early Claims Binning meetings and leads the F5X Variable Reduction teams in Chassis, Electrical, and Powertrain. He is instrumental in preparing the decks for the monthly Balanced Scorecard meetings and the bi-monthly Vehicle Quality Review meetings. He is knowledgeable and assist customers in various manners while providing answers to critical questions relating to warranty claims.
Reggie came to Detroit Chassis in 2007, as a contractual worker to assist the organization in reducing warranty costs. He has been a treasured member of the Quality team and the Detroit Chassis family. Today, we mourn this loss and are sad that Reggie is the first DCP Associate to pass away from Covid-19 Coronavirus.

COVID-19 UPDATE
The growing COVID-19 pandemic continues to impose a huge threat to the nation. It has hit SE Michigan especially hard. Several members of the 1DC family have been stricken by the virus. We monitor their condition daily and they are constantly in our prayers. None of us are immune. Currently, we have 5 confirmed cases at Detroit Chassis affecting the following areas: C2, Quality Department, Vision Center, Rolls Test, Sub Assembly, and the administrative offices.
We must all exercise extreme vigilance to protect ourselves and each other from this dangerous menace and we can. Maintain safe Social Distancing, wear a mask, wash our hands and sanitize frequently…these are all things the experts say will lower our risks dramatically. Everyone who enters the facility is required to have temperature monitored, wear the required PPE, (Gloves & Mask). Remember that while weather is warm and sunny, we should all continue to practice Social Distancing of 6 feet at all times.
There will be 400 face shields delivered to the plant next week provided by Ford Motor Company to aid in social distancing.
All Bathrooms, break areas, common areas and touch points are cleaned and sanitized daily Safety Station at main employee’s entrance.
Work Schedule
During the weeks of April 6th & 13th, we will have a limited number of our Associates onsite to complete a few high priority projects for the sustainability of our organization in this unprecedented time. Tim Young and Mike Shashlo send their appreciation to all of you that volunteered for the critical infrastructure team. Tentatively, May 4, 2020 will be our first day back for full production for DCP and DCA. This date is still fluid and we will update you if there are changes.

Projects Updates
Thus far, this week the team has managed to process nearly 30% of the 1,107 units on-site. Customers began receiving shipments Tuesday, April 7, 2020. The Tooling and Facilities team is working to ensure all critical to run equipment is functional and ready for production to begin in early May. The Operations and Engineering teams are working on standardization of

We’re committed to keeping you informed and providing a direct line of communication, open and up front, as we deal with this crisis. - New health and safety protocols established for DC plants – See new standards
- Training plan kick off with the intent to continue the training for every Detroit Chassis employee starting with the team who are volunteering to come in this coming Monday April 6, 2020. Training plan will be documented following a standard training protocols for each area ensuring the new way of life will be held
Detroit Chassis New Work Schedule Updates
During the weeks of April 6th & 13th, we will have a limited number of our Associates onsite to complete a few high priority projects for the sustainability of our organization in this unprecedented time.
The following projects will be completed during this time:
1. Check and maintain that critical equipment is a safe and in operational condition
2. All chassis with suspect tone rings will be rolled and validated
3. 310 inventory will drawn down and validated for repair
4. Safety validation and inspections will be performed continuously against our increased PPE standards
5. Continuous sanitation of all common and work areas
Tentatively May 4, 2020 will be our first day back for full production for both DCP and DCA. This date is still fluid and we will update up if there are changes.

We are presently reviewing the recently passed Federal CARES Act (Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security) and making plans to access any and all programs that may apply to us and our employees. Detroit Chassis Family:
We are committed to providing you the most current updates on steps that Detroit Chassis (DCP) is taking as a response to the current COVID-19 Virus.
Currently, we have two confirmed cases of the Coronavirus at DCP: One (1) confirmed case among our Security Team, and another one (1) among the union associates.
As a part of the Detroit Department of Health protocol and CDC guidelines, the following steps were taken by Detroit Chassis LLC:
- A comprehensive list of the identified areas of exposure include: C2, Quality Department,
The Vision Center, Rolls Test and the DCP front office area.
- Associates in the identified affected areas were individually contacted by phone call and
notified of possible exposure to COVID-19.
- Associates were asked to self-quarantine until April 6, 2020 and asked to monitor their
temperature twice a day, and report any increases or COVID-19 related symptoms
immediately to the Human Resources Department.
- Visitors, Contractors and Customers were notified and highly recommended to take the same
precautions.
The entire facility has been cleaned, sanitized, and under quarantine, and will remain closed until April 6, 2020.
In addition, we shall continue to monitor and communicate with Detroit Chassis Associates who are ill, under their physician’s care, or are hospitalized.
We encourage everyone to reach out to co-workers and family members to keep each other well informed and safe as we cope with these unparallel times.
